I love my job so much. I don\'t have to answer to anyone, because I am my own boss.
Not too long ago I went to Beijing
and found some beautiful broken ceramics.
So I wanted to bring them back to life.
The pattern on the broken pottery looked very traditionally Chinese.
I wanted to make 3-D versions of the 2-D patterns,
so I collected some.
The illustrations include traditional Chinese yards,
mountains, rivers and lakes.
I use composite materials to make them,
for example, tourmaline.
I like to appreciate the beauty in my life.
One of my pieces is called Filter.
I used a variety of plastic flowers
and connected them together,
then added some pieces of copper and waste material.
Most of the raw materials I use are recycled
but I don\'t think they are rubbish.
Filter presents a mixture of materials,
many of which have never be seen together before.
I tried to put them together in an harmonious way.
If you look carefully,
every item we use in our day-to-day life is different.
I wanted to draw attention to that.
It looks fairly normal at first sight,
but is really quite different.
There is a lot of symmetry in the \"Twins\" series,
but I used many different textures and methods.
That\'s why my pieces stand out.
There are many kinds of jewelry.
Contemporary jewelry is more than just a price tag.
It is less about how much the jewelry costs,
and more about the designer\'s creativity.
